Valley County 4-H Projects and Activities

Member/Trip/Animal Age  Requirement
Cloverbud 6-8 years old, during the 4-H year, can only enroll in Cloverbud Project
4-H Member 9 years old anytime during 4-H year, (Oct. 1 – Sept. 30)
Pre Junior member 8*-10 years old by October 1 of the current 4-H year
Junior member 11-13 years old by October 1 of the current 4-H year
Senior member 14 years and older by October 1 of the current 4-H year
Montana Citizenship Seminar–Helena 14 years and older by October 1 of the current 4-H year
Montana Rec Lab Participant 13 years and older by October 1 of the current 4-H year
Montana 4-H Congress–Bozeman 14 years and older by October 1 of the current 4-H year
State Exchange

Completed 6th grade to host

Completed 7th grade to travel
Washington D.C. Trip Must be 15 by October 1 of the 4-H year of the trip
Horse Project Colt to Maturity 12 years and older by October 1 of the current 4-H year
Breeding Beef  any 4-H member  (revised 4-2010)
Market Steer 11 years and older by October 1 of the current 4-H year
Small animal projects any 4-H member  (revised 4-2010)
