CAT PROJECT 

You must turn an entry blank into the Valley County Extension Office no later than JULY 17, 2023.

 CAT RULES:

1. You must bring proof of vaccinations (distemper, leukemia, and rabies are required) with you to Showmanship.  All entries will be veterinarian inspected upon arrival, prior to the show, refer to schedule.
2. Required to have cat in carrier when you bring it to showmanship.
3. Required to have on a leash when out of the carrier to show.

DOG  --  Department   ZD

The purpose of the 4-H Dog program is to help 4-H members develop leadership, initiative, self-reliance, sportsmanship, and responsibility of having a dog or puppy and receive training in its care, feeding, management and related costs.  Gain skills in showmanship patience and understanding in handling of the animal. 

DOG RULES:

1. Dogs will be able to compete in the same class for three years regardless of the ribbon awarded.
2. Dogs that have a C.D. (Companion Dog) title cannot complete in the Novice Class. They can compete in Graduate Novice or Advance.
3. Dogs that have a CDX (Companion Dog Excellence) may compete in Advanced for one (1) year, then must compete in Utility. Once in Utility, they may stay in that class.
4. Dogs must be on a leash unless requested by judge.
5. Dogs must show proof of vaccinations (rabies, dist/parvo) on or before the fair. All entries will be veterinarian inspected upon arrival, prior to the show, refer to schedule.
6. Any Dog that "soils" while in the ring may be moved to the bottom of the class at the judge’s discretion.
7. Any dog in heat will not be permitted to show.

Entry blanks are due into the Extension for the Dog Show no later than JULY 17, 2023.   Prizes will be announced and awarded day of event.  

ZD  -- Class 1 - Senior Division

           Fourteen and over - - Age as of October 1, 2022

ZD  -- Class 2 - Junior Division

           Eleven – Thirteen - - Age as of October 1, 2022

ZD  -- Class 3 – Pre-Junior Division

           4-H age 8 – Ten  - Age as of October 1, 2022

OBEDIENCE TRIAL - Open to all breeds.  Dogs must be six months old or older. 
Each dog is limited to enter in only one (1) lot number.
